Fantastic service and excellent support. We arrived without a booking hoping to hire some bikes. The staff were friendly and welcoming- they explained different options for our 2 year old and found the perfect bike for our fiercely independent 5 year old. Took the time to explain the map and estimations of how long sections would take us. Helped us up the steep slope with the bikes and ensured we were perfectly happy with the bikes before we left. Couldn’t have asked for more- we had a great afternoon out in the sunshine.

Top customer service.... easy to book with a quick phone call. As we were ready travelling and didn't have driving licence with us they let us leave our car keys as deposit. The staff were really helpful and mapped us out a route that fit the time given. Also... fab little cafe for refreshments!

Excellent bikes, friendly helpful team and beautiful scenery make this THE choice for hiring bikes to do the Monsal trail. Situated at the start of the trail, you get to enjoy the full length of the trail with easy cycling into Bakewell for coffee or lunch. Highly recommend.

We hired two bikes on Saturday morning to cycle to bakewell and back on the monsal trail this is the third time we have hired bikes from Blackwell mill and are never disappointed. We are keen cyclists and the bikes are always in great condition and never had a problem with them. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about the trail and where to stop. This was a lovely little oasis serving really good snacks and drinks after a long tricky walk on the Monsal Trail. They also hire out bikes, which were beautifully maintained and cleaned. The staff were very friendly and kind, and really helped us with a tricky situation we found ourselves in. Thank you to Chris and Paul.

Couldn't recommend this more - it was amazing value for money, the staff were so friendly and helpful and this was by far the best day out of our holiday - so to Blackwell Mill Cycle Hire - thank you! Called a day ahead to reserve two bikes. The gentleman on the phone was helpful and courteous. On arrival on the day, we got there for 9.30am, when it opened, which I can recommend doing as it does get busier throughout the day. There is a public car park which costs £4.75 for the whole day, and takes card or contactless payments - making this much easier than having to find coins.
