From the very off, when we arrived at the bike hire hut, the guys couldn’t be more helpful and supportive… Having booked on the phone in advance, 2 bikes where promptly wheeled out for my wife and I to try out, and after a little adjustment to both, we were ready to go.. We were given a map of the 8.5 mile traffic-free “Monsal Trail” route, with all the sites and things to see and do expertly pointed out to us…. And what a fabulous day it turned out to be… There where boundless amounts of people on the trail throughout the day, either walking or bike riding, but as it was a bank holiday, it was only to be expected really.. However, there was always plenty of space to manoeuvre around and everybody was very courteous and obliging.. Having completed the gentle course, we returned our bikes to our Blackwell Mill cycle hire hut.. Again the guy’s where ever so attentive and keen to find out what we thought of the route and biking experience… Although we haven’t ridden a bike for many years now, which the chafing on both of our groins are testimony to, we both thoroughly enjoyed our day and would not hesitate in recommending this bike hire option whenever you are travelling around the Derbyshire region
