We booked bikes a couple of weeks in advance. The staff were friendly when I called two days before to bring the hire forward by a day due to the weather and were able to accommodate us the next day. Most of our bikes were fine except for one which we only realised the breaks were rubbing on the tyre part way into the journey to Bakewell. I would suggest checking your bike thoroughly before taking it for the day. The bike shop is approximately a 15 minute walk from a car park at the start of the trail, a lovely walk along the river to start and end the day. I felt that the shop could stay open later in the summer months as it closes at 5pm which feels early, 6pm would give people more time to enjoy a full day or make the most of an afternoon of cycling. Overall, a good experience and a very enjoyable day.
