Enjoyed a great ride today along the Monsal Trail with wife and kids, despite the damp weather, but this review is specifically about the team at Blackwell Mill Cycle Hire.

We popped in yesterday towards the end of the day and decided to come back today to do the trip. On both occasions they were very accommodating in helping us find the right options for us to bring a 5 year old and a 1 year old along. Good range of options available and they sorted us out with all necessary safety precautions, right size bikes, helmets, pumps, bike locks etc all included in the price.

We had Will helping us today and he was great with our eldest who was a bit apprehensive about going on a tag along. The bikes themselves were in top nick, clean, comfortable and easy to handle. Set us up perfectly for a lovely day out.

My wife and I also used this hire shop about 7-8 years ago, pre-kids, with a large group of friends. It was a similar experience back then so nice to see these guys are still going strong. They provide a great friendly service.

I’ve used other bike hire shops, elsewhere, on other holidays, where the setup seemed a bit more amateur and less friendly. This is certainly the best I’ve used.
