Blackwell Mill Cycle Hire is situated at the beginning of the Magnificent Monsal Trail, in the Peak District National Park. The centre is approached from entering the Wye dale Car Park on the A6 between Bakewell and Buxton. The Wye Dale Car Park is opposite the TOPLEY PIKE AGGREGATE QUARRY entrance on the A6, 4 miles South of Buxton and 8 miles North of Bakewell.

Access to the cycle hire centre and Tuck shop is approached on foot from the Wye Dale car park (Fees apply – currently £4.50 for all day parking – please ensure you have some loose change), a 10 minute stroll down the country track through the woodlands follows the meandering river Wye, see the Herons, reminding you of prehistoric birds, spot the king fishers, dippers, grey wagtails and white ducks.

Alternative access can also be approached on foot along the bridleways of the nearby Beech Croft Camping and Caravan site and from the above Topley Pike lay-by on the A6.

There is a bus stop at the Wye dale car park, providing a viable car free alternative to visitors.
