We had a perfect day cycling last week on the Monsal trail with two groups of 20 Year 7 students. This was part of an end of term residential experience that we had set up in and around the Buxton area. Blackwell Mill Cycle Hire were great from the initial booking to the day itself. They offered a very good range of bike sizes to accommodate all the students and staff alike. The hire staff were very friendly and helpful and the the quality of the bikes and equipment was very high.

The owner and staff were also very flexible in terms of planning the trip and we were kitted out and on our way very quickly. The benches and seating areas around the hire shop were a great place to eat our packed lunches and to meet up with the other group at lunchtime for a change over and a coffee. We spent a couple of hours cycling to the main viaduct and back at a leisurely pace and it was a real hit with the students. As the trip organiser, I would definitely recommend Blackwell Mill Cycle Hire to anyone. In terms of the trip itself, the group sizes of 20 students at a time were manageable on the day in good weather. However, I would not want to take any more than 20 students up on the trail itself due it being busy with walkers and other cyclists at this time of year. We had 3 staff closely supervising and monitoring the pace and safety of each group on the trail which worked out well.

Overall, a brilliant day out that was made possible by a great hire shop. Thank you for your great service and we look forward to booking again in the future.
