We would thoroughly recommend all visitors to the Peak District to cycle the Monsal trail. We looked online for cycle hire and identified Blackwell Cycle Hire and we arrived as a party of 10 adults and children looking for cycle hire for all shapes and sizes.

The staff were very efficient and friendly and ensured that each person was comfortable with their cycle ( in a couple of cases we changed selection with no issues).

The cycle ride to Bakewell went easily – slightly down hill and with a tail wind. The staff advised us on toilet stops / cafe which were used and recommend. The return journey was more challenging but we all felt a great sense of achievement in reaching the destination in one piece.

The weather was fine and the views were spectacular and would certainly repeat the experience on a future visit to the area. The staff on our return were very friendly and asked us above our Monsal trail experience and felt we were “special customers”
