Just had a lovely Day cycling on the Monsal Trail we hired our bikes from Blackwell Mill cycle hire. We were greeted in the morning by staff at the hire shop where we completed paper work and was introduced to our cycles the staff were very nice and were very knowledgeable about the monsal Trail. We set off to Bakewell and although we hadn’t been regularly on bikes we found the ride was very pleasurable and made good time into Bakewell .

The day was a Monday so we had an added bonus of it being Market Day in Bakewell so it was a buzzing environment .After looking round Bakewell and enjoying a bite to eat we made our way back to Blackwell Mill cycle hire shop. We found the return journey a little more demanding as there is a slight gradient riding this way although this did not stop our enjoyment we just took a little more time .We were told to leave a little more time for our return journey before we set off so that was a good bit of advice . My wife and myself are both 60 and although we were tired at the end a lovely day was had by us both and something we would do again in the future.
